I just wanted to let everyone know things are going very well.
Yesterday we went and played on one of the desert sand dunes with a
bunch of the children. We have been working intermittently on painting
Salida (Exit) signs with some not so great paint brushes. Andrea played
with a bunch of the girls by making costume jewelry. Last night
Loren, Veronica, Donna and Caroline took some time to write Paul Roy.
After that, they asked if they could spend the night in our cuarto.
They were given permission by the madres. By then it was late, so we
read one story in English and one in Spanish. Actually, I started to
read in Spanish, but Loren took over for me. She reads quite well from
what I could tell - lot's of vocal inflection. Here are some pictures
